Friends of Calefax

Since 1994, Calefax is supported by a group of loyal friends. With the help of the Friends of Calefax Foundation, your one and only reed quintet is able to realise special projects. Our friends have in the past funded, amongst other things, music arrangement assignments, extra printed matter and CD recordings. Moreover, it was partly due to the support of the friends foundation that Calefax had the opportunity to present its own concert series in the Rotterdam Doelen concert hall.

If you would like to become a Friend of Calefax, you have two options:
- You can choose to become a 'Friend' by donating € 50,- or more;
- 'Maecenasses' pay € 150,- or more and a CD of your choice will be sent to your home address.

Calefax tries to offer all of its supporters something extra, like a CD, DVD or an invitation to a special event. In the past, for example, all benefactors were invited to the (closed) live recordings of the Ellington CD in the Amsterdam Bimhuis. Friends and Maecenasses have by now a large collection of CDs to choose from. As an extra option, we have a very special offer: a unique demo CD with live recordings, in a cover designed by Calefax' permanent designer Bert Dautzenberg.

Periodic donation (for advanced benefactors!)
A form of financial support that offers advantages to both parties is the periodic donation. For you, this option is fiscally more attractive than a once-only donation. Apart from that, all will be taken care of and you do not need to look after the administrative matters for years. To Calefax, your periodic donation is a form of guaranteed income that makes the organization of better and interesting projects possible.

For a periodic donation, you will fill out an authorization form in which you indicate how much you would like to donate each year (starting from 75 euros) and for which period of time (at least 5 years are required statutorily). Calefax will consequently ensure that a notarial deed is drawn up. The fiscal advantage of a periodic donation compared to a once-only donation is that the former is fully tax-deductible (since 2001, possible tax deductions of charitable donations for the income tax have been reduced).
